22 January 2006 | Works in Progress 5 From January 2006 onwards a track will be available for download from Throwing Music as part of the Works in Progress series. This series contain demos and unreleased songs by Kristin Hersh and Throwing Muses and now by 50 Foot Wave as well. You can purchase the 12 tracks (one will be added to the site each month) from Throwing Music for just $12.00. |
12 January 2006 | First 2006 tour date On 16 February 2006 50 Foot Wave will play in Silverlake, where they played 4 times in January 2004. |

25 August 2005 | New Yahoo Group for TM, KH and FFW Scott from Turlock started a new message board (a Yahoo group) for all things Throwing Muses, Kristin Hersh and 50 Foot Wave. 23 August 2005 | The new TMO While I was away in the UK for a few days, the new TMO (www.throwingmusic.com) was brought online. The major additions are: a blog updated by Kristin and probably the best feature: a "Free Music" feature. This Free Music feature enables you to download 50 Foot Wave songs. In September five (!) brand new songs are available for download! 07 September is the first US tour date and according to Kristin's blog the band attempts to fit in their new five songs in the set! I cannot wait! Unfortunately the message board has been removed from the new TMO, but they're doing their best to have one available in the near future. |
08 August 2005 | 50 Foot Wave start touring again in September 50 Foot Wave will be touring again this September (with one Seattle date already on schedule). More dates will be added in the near future. |
15 April 2005 | European tour! This night 50 Foot Wave will start their 15-day European tour which brings them to the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium and France. |

02 March 2005 | New 50 Foot Wave music videos! News of two music videos in the making was announced in the recent TMO Newsletter (visit Throwing Music to subscribe if you haven't done that yet). Orrin Anderson is working on the music video for "Sally is a Girl" and official 50 Foot Wave photographer Lisa Fletcher is finishing a music video for "Pneuma". More information (including links to download the videos will be announced in the next TMO Newsletter. |
28 February 2005 | "Golden Ocean" pre-order You can now pre-order "Golden Ocean", the new full-length 50 Foot Wave album from Throwing Music. It will be send on 07 March 2005; in time for the 08 March US release date. |
09 February 2005 | 50 Foot Wave to play at French festival 50 Foot Wave is mentioned as part of a French festival called "Les Femmes S'en Mêlent". According to the official website of the festival they will play at five dates (26-30 April) throughout France. |
24 January 2005 | Cover art for Golden Ocean The cover art for Golden Ocean has been published on www.4ad.com. It is a bit small though... Hopefully a better quality images will be available in the near future.  |

27 December 2004 | What will 2005 bring us? With the new year ahead of us it's nice to see what 2005 has to offer to 50 Foot Wave fans: - in January 50 Foot Wave will open for X in San Francisco - in April 50 Foot Wave will be touring Europe and from May onwards they will tour the US; probably Canada as well - a full length album will be released in the first week of March Lots of good things to look forward to! I wish everybody a very good 2005 with loads of happiness. Of course I will try and do my best to have Glory Weed in 2005 up to date as well. |

30 October 2004 | 50 Foot Wave to play in southeast USA 50 Foot Wave will play one gig in Atlanta, GA on 11 December 2004. This is the first time that 50 Foot Wave plays a gig in southeast US. More information is in the tour dates-section. |

17 October 2004 | Full length album release in February 2005! Instead of 'just' a mini-album, fans are treated to a full length album! Eight songs already recorded for the mini-album end up on this full length album, also included are three songs from the first mini-album (Clara Bow, Dog Days and Long Painting). The release date is probably somewhere around the end of February 2005. |
06 October 2004 | 50 Foot Wave opening for Pixies is confirmed! It's going to happen: 50 Foot Wave will indeed open for Pixies on 18 December 2004 in New York. Tickets for the concert have been sold in a pre-sale action already through Pixiesmusic.com They had 500 tickets for sale and they have sold out quickly. The rest of the tickets will go on sale through Ticketmaster on 09 October 2004. |
